Binance and Coinbase are two of the largest crypto exchanges in the world by daily trading volume and user base.
They are currently on a hiring spree despite the 80% correction that the crypto market has experienced this year so far.
Binance’s Chief Financial Officer Wei Zhou spoke to Bloomberg and said that the company is now hiring about 50 new employees in its Malta headquarters while it’s also recruiting new hires from the company’s first fiat-to-crypto exchange in Singapore.
The company already has more than 300 employees across 39countries, and it’s soon expected to expand its team.
Binance is experiencing an exponential growth
Over the past year, Binance has been enjoying exponential growth, and it managed to add millions of users and billions in daily trading volume. All this happened in just a few months.
This company has often been described as the fastest growing startup in history, and the term also applies outside the realm of crypto and finance.
Zhou said that Binance keeps growing its ecosystem and the best example is its latest initiative which is the launch of Binance Singapore. More fiat-integrated crypto exchanges are expected in the future months.
“Our goal right now is to continue to grow the ecosystem, not just for the cryptocurrency, but for the blockchain industry as well. The company is currently looking to acquire projects in the fiat space,” Zhou said.
Binance’s vision to continuously evolve and enhance its infrastructure allowed the exchange to operate without too much hassle while other important exchanges such as Bithumb and Coincheck have experienced high profile hackings lately.
Coinbase is also hiring
The company has recently welcomed Michael Li on board. He is a senior executive and Head of Analytics and Data Science at LinkedIn, and now he became the company’s new Vice President of Data.
“I am thrilled by the opportunity to define and evolve the role data can play in a rapidly emerging space, combining an innovative mindset to solve new challenges with learnings from my past experience,” Li said.
All these hirings and increased interest in crypto are nothing but signs that the industry is flourishing.
