Bisq handled 5% of all Monero trading
Yesterday, Bisq made an exciting announcement on their Twitter account.
The platform handled about 5% of all Monero trading volume over the past 24 hours, according to the official announcement made by Bisq.

They also announced that “Indeed, yesterday saw new ATH records for Bisq, both in overall volume (110 BTC) and the number of trades (152), the vast majority of which was Monero trading.”
The platform continued and wrote “These are big upstats compared to our usual numbers. Volume has grown steadily over the last two years, but never like this. @lawmaster recently extrapolated current numbers to show Bisq would hit $5M in USD volume this month, but in fact, it’s already surpassed $6M.”
Bisq hopesMonero users embrace the platform
On its Twitter account, Bisq said that it makes a lot of sense that Monero users would be the first to embrace Bisq in a big way.

They continued and explained that the two projects are mainly focused on privacy and “with the KYC walls closing in on so many centralized exchanges, Bisq is emerging as one of the few viable options left.”
They also said that they hope the Monero adoption is only the beginning.
Bisq’s core mission is reportedly to offer a secure, private on/off ramp between Bitcoin and fiat currencies.
