Litecoin Adoption: New Debit Card Allows Spending LTC Just Like Fiat

This year, there have been so many outstanding achievements in the crypto space, which are all leading to the massive goal of crypto mainstream adoption.

Litecoin is also making a significant move in this direction, and The Litecoin Foundation has just revealed a new debit card.

Spend LTC with the new debit card

This debit card will be reportedly released soon, and the special edition card will allow users to spend their crypto either online or in physical stores anywhere in the world where important credit cards are accepted.

This card will support Litecoin (LTC), Bibox Token (BIX) and Ternio (TERN).

The special edition is called Litecoin BlockCard and it’s a collab effort by three crypto companies: Litecoin, Bibox Exchange and Ternio.

It’s developed for everyday shoppers and spenders who want to use crypto like cash. In other words, it’s perfect for crypto enthusiasts who support the adoption of digital assets.

The official announcement reveals that US-based users will be the very first customers who can use this.

Bibox Exchange will act as the custodian of users’ funds, leveraging its $200+ million worth of crypto trading volume in order to help route the deposits and spending for users, as reported by the Daily Hodl.

The announcement says that “The special edition debit card will first be released to United States residences and soon after for non-US customers. Bibox Exchange and the Litecoin Foundation will integrate the debit card directly into the Bibox Exchange and LoafWallet – the official Litecoin wallet. Users will be able to access their cards directly within these ecosystems, giving  them instant access to spend.”

LTC towards mass adoption

Charlie Lee says the new card will help boost LTC as a mainstream coin for “travel, hotels, retail, services, entertainment, and shopping.”

Litecoin holders will be able to enjoy “unparalleled access to use their LTC at merchants around the world.”
