Ripple Offers A Glimpse At The Future Of The Digital Asset XRP

Ripple and the digital asset XRP have been in the spotlight a lot this year, and both entities have been enjoying a lot of achievements, despite the crypto market volatility.

It’s also worth noting that the San Francisco-based company made considerable efforts in order to boost the whole XRP ecosystem.

Ripple CTO wants to offer a sneak peek into the future of XRP ledger

David Schwartz seems to want to give the crypto community a sneak peek into the future of XRP ledger and how this could look like in the future.

In a new blog post, Ripple’s CTO talked about the subject and said that the enhancements would probably be focused on the consensus algorithm, performance and research consumption and more features like an XRP-collateralized stablecoin.

He said that the company wants to hear some input from the XRP community regarding the proposed enhancements for the ledger.

David Schwartz also made sure to explain the fact that currently when servers are losing their sync with the network, “they are forced to re-synchronize and at the same time they fetch all the ledgers that they missed” reports the Daily Hodl.

“We propose that the design be changed to support a fetch operation that fetches a ledger’s header and all the transactions in the ledger in order,” according to the Ripple CTO.

He continued and said: “This will allow a server to play forward from the preceding ledger to the queried ledger with minimal network traffic. When a server loses synch, it can then collect validations to determine the ledgers it needs to go forward from its last-validated ledger to the current ledger.”

Head over to the Daily Hodl’s original article in order to find out more about what Schwartz said. Ripple also plans to add code to the server.

Also, the full list of potential improvements is available.
