The results of a new crypto survey by Fundstrat are in, and they look pretty interesting. The most exciting responses targeted Bitcoin (BTC) and Ripple’s XRP.
It seems that Bitcoin is the institutional favorite and Ripple together with its crypto XRP are the favorite stars of crypto Twitter community.
Fundstrat conducted two separate surveys.
One of them was a 10-question survey which was given to 25 institutions, and the other one was a Twitter survey which included six questions with 9,500 responses.
Bitcoin bulls expected in 2019
According to the results, institutions are more bullish on the price of Bitcoin for the next year, and 54% of them said that BTC has bottomed. On the other hand, 44% of Twitter voters took the very same stance.
When respondents were asked which will be the highest performing crypto of 2019, the institutions chose BTC by a landslide 59%.
EOS came after it with 18%, while Ethereum was third at 8%.
The very same question was also put to the Twitter crowd, and 46% chose XRP as the top performer. BTC came after it at 31%, Ethereum at 15%, and EOS at 8%.
XRP, the most polarizing coin
When people were asked which crypto investment makes the least sense, the institutions chose XRP at 28% and then BTC, at 17%. When the same question was put on Twitter, the voters chose TRX at 32%, then XRP at 31%. BTC came in at 17%.
Both Twitter voters and institutions believe that Bitcoin has already bottomed out.
They both chose central banks as the most critical factor that is currently influencing crypto.
After the banks there came emerging markets, geopolitical tension and the U.S. dollar was the last factor.
