Ripple will hold its Swell event in San Francisco, and it will last for two days, between 1 and 2 October. The event is said to gather “the world’s leading experts on policy, payments, and technology.”
This will definitely turn out to be an exciting event considering the fact that former president, Bill Clinton and National Economic Advisor, Gene Sperling, who served under both Obama’s and Clinton’s administration are included in the many speakers at the event.
The event will be peeling every layer of crypto, and many discussion will revolve around Ripple.
They will include details on how the company implemented such an innovative payment system, related regulations, existing survey results and what the future holds for the blockchain and the cryptosphere.
Clinton will be leading the event as the keynote speaker
He will address the overall specs of the Internet and its evolution. Ripple shared a while ago that Clinton dissolved the previously existing gap between the implementation of technology within society. The company called his efforts a successful result of getting rid of the “digital divide.”
Ripple compares their company to Clinton’s successful attempts at supporting the technological evolution.
“Like the internet boom of the 90’s, we are at an impasse: digital assets and blockchain technology offer a way for value to be exchanged as quickly as information […] However, with this new technology comes the potential for concern, requiring thoughtful policy to protect consumers from risk without hampering innovation,” Ripple stated.
Ripple CEO will Brad Garlinghouse obviously also be present at the event.
The expectations involving the event are pretty high, and another exciting thing is that the presence of central banks will be hosted in a segment called “Central Banks Show and Tell.”
The efforts that RippleNet is taking in order to establish a strong connection among the necessary players will also be addressed in the “Meet the Movers and Shakers: Lighting Round” segment.
