Token Teletransportation: shEOS Spanish Software Company Creates EOS21 Protocol That Teleports Crypto Between Ethereum And EOS

The crypto space welcomes token teleportation, a process that comes with lots of benefits.

shEOS Spanish software company managed to successfully create a protocol that is basically a communication tool between the Ethereum and EOS blockchain.

EOS21 protocol acts as a bridge between blockchains

The EOS21 protocol acts as a bridge between the blockchains, and it makes it possible to teleport Ethereum ERC 20 tokens to EOS without functionality being lost.

In the project’s official GitHub the team of developers explains that they built the code in order to achieve a real token transmission and not just simple cloning of tokens.

The process is called “Teletransportation” because this term describes accurately what the team plans to achieve.

The process can be achieved by destroying the tokens of one blockchain to instantly create them in the other.

This avoids an artificial number of tokens on the two blockchains and also guarantees a successful blockchain swap.

“In the EOS21 protocol, we are providing another option for ERC20 contracts that do not have a built-in pause/expiry function but who want to move their token to another chain. We are calling this action: teleportation. To teleport a token from one chain to another, it will exist on the destination chain, but no longer exist in a fungible form on the source chain,” the official notes read.

The technology is adapted for other blockchains as well

The shEOS team is really confident that the development of this tech can contribute to the growth of both blockchains by becoming a critical tool that will be able to guarantee their interoperability.

There are no details of large-scale applications revealed by now, but, on the other hand, there is already a rapidly growing community that is interested in the protocol.

The shEOS team adapted its tech to other blockchains with similar features such as XRP/XLM.
